Thanks to all the artist who entered the International Polo Clubs 2014 Commemorative Poster Contest. Out of the 43 entries we are pleased to announce the winning artist this year is Alan Metzger, a resident of South Florida. His entry entitled "Polo Rumble" gives a unique impressionistic view of polo at the ground level, below the gracefulness of the horses and players. Thanks to all who entered the contest, the diversity and quality of the art work is amazing.
Alan is a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He has worked in the art and advertising profession most of his life and his work has been recognized for excellence in art contests and in the Addy awards. He grew up in Pittsburgh, lived in Shreveport LA for many years before moving to South Florida in 1984. Alan is now doing his art full time and his technique and style continue to evolve. He is a member of the Art Guild. His desire is to be more impressionistic in his work, but has an eye for detail as well
